Description: The Bar W is located on a small lake, sits at the base of Spencer Mountain and between two pine-covered ridges. The ranch itself consists of a 6,200-square-foot lodge, guest cabins, indoor and outdoor horseback-riding arenas, stables, barn, and an entertainment area. The ranch is just minutes away from the quaint and vibrant ski town of Whitefish, one of the gateways to Glacier National Park, a year-round recreational playground. Area activities include the lakes and streams for fly fishing and trails for mountain biking and hiking, golfing, and for evenings on the town. And ... at the Bar W Guest Ranch there is lots more too! The horseback-riding program is the ranch's main attraction. The experienced staff, the beautiful horses, and the assorted terrain our riders traverse make for an unrivaled riding experience. You'll ride in the mountains, over the foothills, and across the open prairies. Includes riding events in our indoor and outdoor arenas, riding lessons for beginners and experienced riders, lessons can include roping and cattle work. You'll have a great time!
