Description: The Bar W is located on a small lake, sits at the base of Spencer Mountain and between two pine-covered ridges. The ranch itself consists of a 6,200-square-foot lodge, guest cabins, indoor and outdoor horseback-riding arenas, stables, barn, and an entertainment area. In the surrounding countryside, you'll see mountains and rolling ridges in all directions, helping to make the ranch an idyllic piece of paradise. We're just minutes away from the quaint, but vibrant, ski town of Whitefish which offers great restaurants and wonderful shopping. Whitefish is one of the gateways to Glacier National Park, a year-round recreational playground in northwestern Montana. Visitors to Whitefish can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities. There are lakes and streams for fly fishing and trails for mountain biking and hiking. Golfers can hit the links at one of the local courses. And for evenings on the town, the area offers plenty of fine-quality dining, shopping, and other nighttime activities including rodeos and theater productions. And ... at the Bar W Guest Ranch … there’s lots more too …. The horseback-riding program is the ranch's main attraction. The experienced staff, the beautiful horses, and the assorted terrain our riders traverse make for an unrivaled riding experience. You'll ride in the mountains, over the foothills, and across the open prairies of Big Sky Country, in addition to enjoying riding events that take place in our indoor and outdoor arenas. We offer riding lessons for beginners and, for those more experienced riders, advanced lessons that include roping and cattle work. You'll have a great time! Visitors to the ranch can also choose from a variety of other exciting activities.
