The Sadie Creek Vacation House is located near the Crazy Mountains in Central Montana on a 4th generation working family ranch. Its owners invite you to return for a while to the simpler lifestyle of yesterday. Enjoy privacy and solitude on 50,000 acres of pine-covered hills and vast open grasslands. Experience magnificent views from every window and porch, with sunrises over buttes and sunsets over the mountains. It’s a great place for photography, painting, or just getting away from it all. There are also excellent trails for mountain biking. Guided bird tours with an Audubon member are available; see curlews, sand hill cranes, hawks, eagles, and a variety of songbirds. Experience ranching first-hand by joining the ranch family in the daily work of the season. Learn how beef cattle are cared for and what goes into their production. Ride horseback with the family across the big country they call home. Each half-day ride offers new terrain and new stories to share while visiting old homesteads and Native American sites. Fish, swim, and canoe at the reservoir. Eat lunch at the original ranch cookhouse or served from a sheep wagon on the range. Watch team roping and learn to swing a rope at Fish Creek Arena. Enjoy a barbeque featuring ranch raised, natural beef followed by guitar music and singing on the porch. The three-bedroom house offers a fireplace and comfortable western appeal. For more rustic preferences, try the quaint original sheepherders’ wagons, tents, or tipis. Each visit is a unique, tailor-made experience. The ranch has facilities for weddings, reunions, and special events.
