Description: The Homestead Cabins offers five cabins which are rustically romantic, yet comfortably convenient, located just 10 miles from Glacier National Park. Each cabin includes all the modern accessories to make your vacation easy; full kitchen, full bath, laundry, wood stove, and a large yard with picnic table and gas barbeque. All bedding and linens are provided. This is the perfect base-camp from which to hike, bike, golf, fish, swim, and partake of the many other activities available in the area. The valley is home to a multitude of animals; particularly deer, moose, and elk in the meadows and beaver, geese, loons, ducks, and blue heron in the creeks and ponds. Cabin One is a hand hewn log home overlooking a large meadow. It features an open main floor plan which flows around an original wood cook stove. There are two bedrooms upstairs, both with queen size beds and the living room couch is also a fold out bed. Two covered porches provide wonderful views of the meadows. Need more room for the kids or additional guests? A small bunkhouse with four single post beds is located right next door and can be rented for an additional $40/night. This is a great location for family reunions. This cabin is about 100 yards from John's Cabin #2.
