Description: Homesteader Cabin & Missouri Canoe Trip: These rustic canoe adventures offer the visitor a chance to experience Montana’s White Cliffs of the Missouri River, touch the trail of Lewis & Clark, explore a real Montana Ghost Town, and stay in an authentic Homesteader Cabin without the luxuries of indoor plumbing or electricity. A Bed & Breakfast Inn is available for the less adventuresome. Adventures can be anywhere from a half-day canoe ride to a 12-day expedition and are designed to provide unforgettable Montana experiences. Experienced guides are available to interpret the area’s geology, flora, fauna, and Lewis & Clark history or you can choose to go unguided if you have river experience. There is even a Paddle & Saddle trip if you want to combine your river adventure with some horseback riding. Available Trip Example: Full-day Canoe Trip - Spend the first and second nights in a Homesteader Cabin in a Ghost Town along the Missouri River. These cabins are very rustic and without running water or power. But the outhouse is just outside and a bathhouse about a half a block away. The bathhouse has both hot running water and power. TheCanoeing Adventure could be as follows: Two nights lodging in a homesteader cabin, Two breakfasts, A full-day canoeing on the Wild and Scenic Missouri River with instruction with guide. and a shuttle ride back to town. Your canoe trip take out point will be just above the White Cliffs section of the river and you can expect to see lots of birds and perhaps other wildlife too.
